My fellow Biafrans, I hail thee! However, I wonder why the Federal government is not doing anything to protect the sovereignty of the Nigerian republic now that Chicken republic is opening up all over the place.

Almost everywhere you go to now, you will see a Chicken republic center and people will just be trooping in and out of the station. When Ojukwu declared the Biafran republic about 40 years ago on 30 May 1967, hell was let lose and people like Gowon said it was aimed at destroying Nigeria and a secessionist state and what followed was a bloodbath. However, the people in power are not treating the people responsible for the republic of Chicken in the same way they treated those responsible for the republic of Biafra. Why is this so or is there something missing here? Maybe this is another Igbo marginalization.

Well, I went to an outing one day and there and then, I saw Chicken republic, basking in its glory, with their flag hoisted just as we did during Biafra but their logo was a Chicken head. It has a yellow crown on it while the head was coloured yellow all placed on a white background, probably symbolizing peace. Well the Biafran flag was a bit similar since it looked like a crown of yellow but was a figure of the rising sun. Yeah, the sun does rise from the east in Nigeria and that's probably why Biafra chose it as their logo but I was beginning to wonder why Chicken republic had a chicken in their logo. Another similarity has to do with the fact that both republics had red in their colours. While Biafra had yellow, red, green and white in their flag, Chicken republic had red yellow and white in their colours.

Anyway, I was a bit curious and wanted to know what kind of republic this was, perhaps there were a lot of chickens coming from that republic which was not threatening the sovereignty of Nigeria as Biafra was deemed to have done. I didn't really want to enter at first since I felt I may be swinging sides and betraying my beloved Biafra. After a lot of thoughts, I said, "there is nothing wrong in visiting an opposition camp". So I entered the C republic and was amazed at what I saw.

There were not a lot of live chickens walking up and down but they were all dead chickens prepared and served in plates. It then dawned on me that this was just a fast food outlet that sells Chicken meals. The environment was also a bit different since they had machines that spit cold. Seriously, it was like a foreign land and "oyi were tuo m".

Anyway, I was a bit disappointed that it was just a "mama put" chicken center and not a real republic in the same sense like Biafra. However, after communing with my Chi, it was only fitting that I should not go back empty handed but at least take the kola which they offered me. It was a chicken meal and I did a take away.
