Yes O. It's about time Onyigbo ascends the throne again in aso rock. The last time we know that an Igbo person(Nnamdi Azikiwe) from South eastern Nigeria became president was in 1960 and that was when Lagos was the federal capital. Wouldn't it be nice and at least justified when an Igbo man becomes president again after 50 years?

Some may say Ndigbo already have a president in Jonathan but is Jonathan Ebele Goodluck really Igbo? I guess he may be half Igbo, half Ijaw but he comes from the South South. Truth is, South Eastern Nigeria have been denied the presidential position from time to time and for over 50 years.

It's time for Ndigbo to come together and give a single support to a candidate from the Igbo nation. It should be someone who protects Igbo interests, has national appeal and be able to fulfills his duties as president.

For an Igbo man to win the presidential race, he should first and foremost have a positive popularity, be enlightened, have national appeal and have a solid campaign strategy.

Ndigbo should first and foremost not break their votes for two candidates but rather for a single candidate that is the most preferred and trusted.

Igbo candidates need to reach out to voters of other tribes too to campaign for their votes by making public statements of what they plan to achieve.

To win a presidential election, an Igbo candidate would have to at least win about 25% of votes in all states in Nigeria and a majority of the total votes. It shouldn't be an impossible task to achieve.
