What is the meaning of Bia? Well, in Nigeria, the word "Bia" is one of the popular indigenous words which many people already understand to mean "come" when translated to Igbo.

Most Ndigbo use the word Bia and the rest of the Nigerian society already understand this as an Igbo word. It can be translated to Yoruba as Wa or to Hausa as Zo. Well, those are the common quick translations I can offer in other languages other than Igbo.

Bia is a word taken from the Igbo language as I've already mentioned and it means "come" when translated to English. People speaking Igbo use the word a lot such that it would be hard to listen to a long Igbo conversation without them mentioning bia.

An Igbo man would say Bia kanyi koria meaning come let's talk. He may also say Bia kanyi rie nri which translates to come let us eat.

There are many daily scenarios where the word Bia can be used and it is normally between 2 or more people who speak Igbo. Let me use some other examples below:

I am coming = Anam abia
Come here = Bia na ebea
He/She has come = O bia na
Jesus is coming = Jesu na abia
We have come = Anyi abia na
