Oburu na ihe ana eme ugbua diri obodo mma, okamma ka eme ya mbughari? Mba ni! Anyi achoghi mbughari, kama anyi choro Oganiru.

This is a year in which Ndigbo in Nigeria are going to decide on which political party to vote in the elections. It should be people who best represents them and best puts their interest at heart.

One of the things that Ndigbo had asked to government to do is another Nigeria bridge given that the old Niger bridge is no longer as strong as it used to be and might not last for long. Another thing that the Igbo race wants from the government is to appoint Igbos in ministries that would protect their business. Ministries such as Commerce, Aviation, Science and so on. The current government is working on it.

Ndigbos also want a government that can provide better security for them wherever they reside in Nigeria so that we don't go back to the bloody genocide that keeps taking place against Ndigbo especially in Northern Nigeria before or after important political events like an election or military coup.

Ndigbo want a government that will give them equal opportunities with other tribes rather than preventing them from aspiring for success in their chosen fields.

Igbos want a government that believes in the rule of law and that encourages people to live and acquire properties in any part of Nigeria without any form of discrimination. They want to be part of government in any state of Nigeria where they reside and pay taxes in.

Igbo people, by virtue of their customary political system, have always supported a government founded on democracy rather than autocracy and won't want a leader that has autocratic values or tendencies.

There are few political candidates and parties in Nigeria that identify with the aspirations and wishes of Igbo people and it can be hard choosing from among them.

The current government has not really done too bad in making Ndigbo part of government as some government policies have helped the race see itself as part of government. Truth be told, Ndigbo have found some love in the ruling government that makes it hard for them to decide whether to vote for a change or to continuity.

Will Ndigbo vote for change or Continuity? I think it is safer to vote for continuity since we are not so sure about what change will mean for our race.

Let's wait for 4 more years so that we can vote for a change then since by then, a change will be inevitable. Oganiru kanyi choro kitaa.
