Why Igbo families should have many children

Ndigbo have for long being crying of marginalization in this country called Nigeria but the truth is that it won't have been the case if Igbo people were the most populous tribe in Nigeria. If we were the simple majority, we would have dominace over what happens in the country. We would simply control the government. Even if we wanted to rename Nigeria to another, it would be possible if we were the majority and that's still possible. Many people in our developed world of today tend to propose the idea of having few children just to be able to provide for them but the truth is that God is the ultimate provider and he has asked us to be fruitful so that we would dominate the earth. From my way of thinking, there is no amount of population that would exceed the resources available on this earth and same likewise for your Igbo family. There is really no amount of children that you'd have that you'd not be able to provide for. You just need to do your best while God and society will do the rest. Before and immediately after the Biafran war, many Igbo families had a lot of children. You'd hear of stories of a single woman having up to 14 children while some have 7 but nowadays, in the 21st century, Igbo women and men prefer having just 4 children. When Igbo families start making it a tradition to have few children, it would have a counter effect on the future Igbo race as their population would decline. If you go to Europe, many civilized people are having less children with some even having just 1 or 2 kids even though they are able to have up to 10. The low population growht of the Europeans is one of the reason why Immigrants from other nations are taking over their country and before you know it, their future would be erased. It's unAfrican and untrafitional for an Igbo family to have few children. It's not acceptable for an Igbo family to kill their children using artificial methods of family planning because children are a gift to the society from God and they help each generation to pass down their knowledge and tradition to the next generation. If the current generation of Igbo people start having less children, chances are that the next generation would be fewer in population and their chances of being marginalized further would increase. The power of a people is their population and the more population you have, the longer your name and tradition would last. Igbo people are like the salt of the earth or the salt of Nigeria and if they get erased from Nigeria, it would be a different society altogether.Igbo women and men who get married to raise a family should always follow God's instruction to be fruitful ad multiply rather than obstructing the will o God. Don't say that my finances won't measure up. Never say I can't raise many children. Just have them and do your best while you'll trust God and society to do the rest.Every Igbo child who is born into this world has God on it's side and they won't go unprovided for. Don't think that when you have children that you are the only one who would train them. You just need to show them the way while you give them your blessing so that it may be well with them.Igbo people shouldn't be restricting the number of children they should have for whatever reason because there are people who would pay millions just to have a single child but still don't get any. If nature has blessed you with children, you should not stop them from coming because they would be for the greater good of our society.
